Due Diligence Specialist
Risk Management Department
Responsibilities:
- Being a team member in the Risk Management Department (RMD) to provide recommendations on credit approval. Performing in-depth reviews of borrowers’ financials, business models, management teams, industries, and competitive positioning to assess creditworthiness and repayment ability.
- Conduct credit screening and investigation, identifying, evaluating, and documenting key risks and mitigating factors.
- Possess strong credit and financial statement analysis.
- Experience in credit approval–related tasks.
- Knowledge of local industries, conducting industry analysis, and enhancing knowledge of the economy both locally and internationally to monitor the credit portfolio.
- Willing to support credit-related and other projects.
- Able to handle and complete tasks under time constraints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- More than 5 years of experience in credit analysis or the banking industry.
- Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
- Good knowledge of industry and economic trends, as well as banking products.
- Willing to take on additional assignments and other credit-related reports.
IT Auditor
Audit Unit
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct IT Audit projects in accordance with the approved audit plan, covering IT governance, Information Security, system implementation, and digital operations, in line with the risk-based audit approach and IIA Global Standards 2024.
- Prepare IT Audit planning memoranda and IT audit programs and propose them to the Head of Audit for review and approval.
- Perform testing of application controls, general IT controls, cybersecurity measures, and technology risk management, and document results with sufficient, reliable, and relevant evidence.
- Draft IT audit findings, root causes, and practical recommendation and prepare audit reports for review.
- Join audit engagements led by the General Audit team to provide technical expertise on IT or technology-related areas, including data analysis, assessment of system controls, and evaluation of automated processes.
- Support consulting activities, led by the Head of Audit or Audit Manager through technical assessment and documentation, without assuming management responsibility.
- Monitor remediation of IT and technology-related audit issues and updates status as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, engineering or related field.
- Background in Accounting, Internal Audit or Risk management with strong IT knowledge is acceptable.
- At least 5 years’ experience in IT Audit, information security, technology risk management or system implementation review, preferably in banking or financial institutions.
- Experience in ITGC, application controls, cybersecurity, SDLC and IT continuity.
- Experience in conducting IT audit projects and joining general audit engagements to provide technical expertise.
- Excellent skills in English, Chinese is an advantage.
- Holding CISA, CISSP, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or equivalent are advantage.
Financial Crime Compliance (AML Compliance Review)
Legal & Compliance and Operational Risk Management Department
Responsibilities:
- Support and implement a best practices compliance testing program and associated methodologies for its review and effective challenge of the first and second lines of defense program for the Bank.
- Perform AML compliance assurance review (e.g. Transaction Monitoring, Payment.
- Screening, KYC etc. and assigned special/ ad-hoc reviews.
- Identify potential or actual regulatory risks arising from the results of compliance review and proposing recommendations to the relevant stakeholders to mitigate the identified risks.
- Compile compliance review reports to highlight major regulatory compliance issues and risk implications.
- Implement control and provide recommendations, establish remediation actions and monitor remediation process.
- Provide consultation/proper solution to Business Units during compliance review on the best practice of AML/CFT compliance.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports, metrics.
- Assist in ad-hoc compliance related review or investigation.
- Assist the advisory team to summarize AML Laws & Regulations and circulate to relevant Business Units.
- Coordinate regulatory onsite and offsite examinations conducted by the regulators.
- Follow up management actions / rectification actions to resolve findings identified in compliance reviews and, where required, examinations undertaken by the regulators.
- Update compliance review related policies, programs and control procedures in accordance with regulatory rules and requirements.
- Support other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics.
- At least 5 years of working experience in AML KYC/CDD in Banking industries.

Financial Crime Compliance (Transaction Monitoring and Fraud)

Responsibilities:
- Investigate, research and analyze financial transactions and customer data across all lines of business for possible suspicious activities, money laundering, and/or violations of AML/CFT regulations.
- Check AML threshold reporting received from related units and submit to AMLO within determined period.
- Provide oversight on the fraud management of the Bank and advise frontline units to respond to fraud reporting initiated by customers or peer banks.
- Monitor financial transactions in the Bank's fraud monitoring systems.
- Handling for fraud protection, fraud detection, fraud response, and collaboration between financial service providers and other related organizations.
- Perform AML screening and investigate on screening alerts.
- Liaise with Head Office in Beijing and BOCHK on any project initiatives related to financial crime compliance functions.
- Take up ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications:

Financial Crime Compliance (Sanction Compliance)

Responsibilities:
- Summarize AMLO regulations and Group requirements related to Sanction and circulate to BOCT’s business units subjected to announcement by AMLO.
- Follow the AMLO regulations and BOCHK requirements related to Sanction to update or establish the BOCT AML and Sanction management policies and procedures.
- Perform transaction screening work to ensure sanction compliance of BOCT.
- Provide consultation and AML/ Sanction related training to business units.
- Conduct AML related tasks as assigned by FCC team head.
- Responsible for the anti-bribery and anti-corruption of BOCT.

- Engage in bond trading and manage bond position under trading book authorization.
