Introduction
Bank of China (Thai) Public Company Limited (BOCT) offers a service that transfers the rights stated in the Letter of Credit (L/C) from the seller to the second beneficiary upon the seller's requirement. This service facilitates the procurement of goods sufficiently in line with the needs of the buyer.

Our services are suitable for
- Sellers (beneficiaries) who need to transfer the rights under the L/C to a second beneficiary for various reasons, such as being unable to fulfill the obligations under the L/C or using the L/C as collateral for financing purposes.
- Exporters who need to assign the rights under the L/C to a third party to facilitate the export process, such as an agent or a broker.
Process
- The exporter receives a transferable Letter of Credit (L/C) from abroad.
- The exporter submits a request for transfer of the documentary credit, along with the original L/C that is advised through BOCT as the first advising bank.
- BOCT checks the conditions of the L/C and endorses the transfer on the back of the original L/C.
- Once the transfer fees have been collected, BOCT provides the transferred L/C along with a copy of the document to the transferee.
